Our genomics and proteomics products and services include the use of custom synthesized microarrays based on the µParaflo®on-chip synthesis technology which enables the total customization of content on each individual microarray to suit your needs. Our comprehensive services includes sequence retrieval from public databases and literature, and/or assistance with your sequence designs, nucleic acid hybridization, protein binding or enzymatic assays using samples provided by you, single or dual color detection of the hybridization using a suitable method, image data processing, and signal data processing.

microRNA Detection Microarray Service

LC Sciences provides a genome-wide microRNA (miRNA) expression profiling service using µParaflo® technology and proprietary probe design, which enable highly sensitive and specific direct detection of miRNAs. We have standard arrays for mature miRNA of all species available in the latest version of the Sanger miRBase database (Release 14.0). Our service is comprehensive and includes small RNA enrichment from your total RNA sample, single or dual color labeling, hybridization, image data processing and in-depth data analysis.

microRNA Sequencing Service

microRNA sequencing is a new method and a powerful tool to identify and quantitatively decode the entire population of microRNAs in your sample.  LC Sciences now provides a microRNA discovery service using the Solexa/Illumina high-throughput sequencing technology which enables comprehensive coverage, highly sensitive and specific discovery and profiling of all forms of microRNAs in your sample. 

microRNA qRT-PCR Services

Our service is comprehensive and includes small RNA enrichment from your total RNA sample, TaqMan® microRNA assay (in triplicate), and fully analyzed quantitative data.  TaqMan® MicroRNA Assays quantitate microRNAs with the specificity and sensitivity of TaqMan® assay chemistry. The assays target only mature microRNAs, not their precursors, ensuring biologically relevant results.  Every TaqMan® microRNA Assay has been functionally validated under laboratory conditions to ensure accurate results.

Targeted Sequencing - Sample Enrichment Service

LC Sciences provides a service for target-specific selection of a defined genomic region (such as Mbp region at a specific location, suspected cancer regions, SNP regions, regions for genomic comparisons)or RNA sequences (such as sets of transcriptome sequences known from previous screening experiments, mRNAs, and miRNAs).  This service enables you to take full advantage of new “next-generation” high throughput sequencing technologies.  More complete and accurate coverage is achieved by targeting only your regions of interest.

Small RNA Discovery Microarray Service

LC Sciences provides a comprehensive microarray service for systematic discovery of small regulatory/functional RNA embedded within non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) using a novel µParaflo® technology and proprietary probe design, which enables highly sensitive and specific direct detection of small RNAs . This comprehensive service includes custom probe design, synthesis of the arrays, small RNA enrichment from your total RNA sample, single or dual color labeling, hybridization, image data processing, and data analysis.

Small RNA Discovery & Analysis - Sequencing Service

Small RNAs make up a large family of regulatory molecules in organisms of nearly all kingdoms of life.  These include: miRNA, ncRNA, siRNA, snoRNA, piRNA, rasiRNA, and many more.  Their functions are equally as diverse, including mRNA degradation, translational repression, hetero- chromatin formation, and DNA elimination as they play an important role in development and disease.  Small RNA transcriptome sequencing is a new method and a powerful tool to identify and quantitatively decode the entire population of small RNAs and thus recover the families of regulatory RNAs in different organisms and cellular systems.

Gene Expression Analysis Service

LC Sciences now offers gene expression analysis by Affymetrix GeneChip® through our partnership with SeqWright DNA Technology Services, an Affymetrix-authorized service provider. This service is GLP-compliant for handling patient samples. We offer 5 day turnaround on most projects.

OligoMix® Genomics Products

LC Sciences provides a unique new tool, OligoMix® enabling low cost, multiplex custom oligonucleotides for various applications serving diverse needs in genomics, proteomics, protein/antibody engineering, synthetic biology, drug discovery, and emerging new fields of science such as next-generation sequencing. OligoMix® is a MIXTURE of a large number of DESIGNED synthetic DNA oligonucleotide sequences delivered in a single microtube.

DNA/RNA Aptamer Microarray Service

LC Sciences provides unique aptamer microarray services using a novel µParaflo® technology, a list of aptamer sequences, and sequence design software.  The aptamer microarrays are applied for protein bindings, drug candidate screening, and biosensor engineering. Our comprehensive service includes assistance with sequence design, synthesis of standard or custom DNA/RNA (2’-OMe) aptamer microarrays, and binding assays using binding molecules provided by you, such as proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, or other kinds of small molecules.

Specialty Genomics Microarrays

The µParaflo® technology provides the flexibility of synthesizing microarrays containing probes with modifications such as, 5’-amino linker, phosphate, biotin, and various methylation or other types of modifications. Incorporation of modifications greatly increases the number of applications for these microarrays.

Kinase Profiling Microarray Service

LC Sciences provides a comprehensive kinase analysis service utilizing high density protein kinase substrate (PKS) peptide microarrays synthesized on PepArray™ microfluidic chips for proteomic scale kinase profiling, quantitative measurement of kinase kinetic activities in the absence or presence of protein kinase inhibitors, and drug discovery research. This comprehensive service includes synthesis of standard or customized peptide array, performing enzymatic assay, array data acquisition, data analysis and completion of report.

Epitope Mapping Microarray Service

LC Sciences now offers a comprehensive epitope mapping service for high throughput, high-resolution identification of epitopes and other protein-protein interactions. Through the use of overlapping peptides as epitopes on a custom synthesized addressable peptide microarray (PepArray™), we can systematically screen thousands of sequences in a single experiment. A proprietary microarray platform and advanced microfluidic technologies ensure quantitative measurements of binding events.

Phosphopeptide Binding Microarray Service

The µParaflo® technology also provides the flexibility of synthesizing microarrays containing probes with modifications such as phosphopeptides, peptidomimetics, other amino acid analogs or various other types of modifications. Incorporation of modifications greatly increases the number of applications for these microarrays.

Protein Binding Microarray Service

LC Sciences provides a comprehensive service for custom peptide microarray experiments utilizing high density peptide and epitope microarrays synthesized on PepArray™ microfluidic chips for quantitative assays using recombinant proteins/antibodies or serum samples. These quantitative assays are applicable for immunological studies, vaccine development, and biosensor development.  This comprehensive service includes assistance with your sequence designs, binding assays using sample(s) provided by you, single or dual color detection of the binding using a suitable method, image data processing, and signal data processing.

Aptamer Binding Microarray Service

Picoliter Scale Titer Plate Microarrays

The PepArray™ technology makes it possible for us to vary the density of peptide synthesized in each chamber creating peptide concentration gradient plates for measuring protein dissociation constants (Kd) in a way similar to 96 or 384 well titer plates.  Hundreds of Kd values are measured simultaneously on our PepArrays™.
