Our genomics products and services include the use of custom synthesized microarrays based on the µParaflo® on-chip synthesis technology which enables the total customization of content on each individual microarray to suit your needs. Our comprehensive services includes sequence retrieval from public databases and literature, and/or assistance with your sequence designs, nucleic acid hybridization assays using samples provided by you, single or dual color detection of the hybridization using a suitable method, image data processing, and signal data processing.

LC Sciences offers additional µParaflo®technology derived genomics products that serve needs for construction of biomolecular libraries containing up to millions of different biomolecules of defined sequences. These products significantly reduce the cost and increase the speed of highly multiplexing genome-scale experiments such as exploration of small RNAs and designer gene/DNA library synthesis.

microRNA Detection Microarray Service

LC Sciences provides a genome-wide microRNA (miRNA) expression profiling service using µParaflo®technology and proprietary probe design, which enable highly sensitive and specific direct detection of miRNAs. We have standard arrays for mature miRNA of all species available in the latest version of the Sanger miRBase database (Release 11.0). Our service is comprehensive and includes small RNA enrichment from your total RNA sample, single or dual color labeling, hybridization, image data processing and data analysis. Two-three weeks after receiving your total RNA samples, we send you the analyzed data, representative and original images of the array, and raw data. We offer additional products and services including arrays containing miRNA*, walk/tiling arrays, custom arrays (first 100 probes free of charge), and in-depth analysis for multiple data sets. The optional data analysis may include multi-array normalization, t-test, ANOVA, False Discovery Rate calculator, and/or clustering analysis.

microRNA qRT-PCR Services

LC Sciences now provides a one-stop solution for all your microRNA (miRNA) expression profiling needs.  We can provide you with both microarray and qRT-PCR profiling services for the most complete picture of microRNA expression in your samples.  While microarrays provide efficient genome-wide screening of miRNA expression, qRT-PCR is the gold standard for validation of microarray expression data and provides quantitative analysis of microRNA expression in real time which can help you to zero in on the miRs of interest in your samples revealed by microarrays.  In addition, the specificity of real time PCR expression data can provide further understanding of the true biological significance of these miRs.  Our service is comprehensive and includes small RNA enrichment from your total RNA sample, TaqMan®microRNA assay (in triplicate), and fully analyzed quantitative data.  TaqMan® MicroRNA Assays quantitate microRNAs with the specificity and sensitivity of TaqMan® assay chemistry. The assays target only mature microRNAs, not their precursors, ensuring biologically relevant results.  Every TaqMan®MicroRNA Assay has been functionally validated under laboratory conditions to ensure accurate results.

Small RNA Discovery Microarray Service

LC Sciences provides a comprehensive microarray service for systematic discovery of small regulatory/functional RNA embedded within non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) using a novel µParaflo ®technology and proprietary probe design, which enables highly sensitive and specific direct detection of small RNAs . This comprehensive service includes custom probe design (according to submitted target RNA sequences) using custom defined parameters, synthesis of the arrays, small RNA enrichment from your total RNA sample (upon request, this step may be omitted), single or dual color labeling, hybridization, image data processing, and data analysis. Two-three weeks after receiving your total RNA sample(s), we send you the analyzed data, representative and original images of the array, and raw data. We offer additional products and services including combined arrays containing miRNA and/or miRNA* probes and in-depth analysis for multiple data sets. The optional data analysis may include multi-array normalization, t-test, ANOVA, False Discovery Rate calculator, and/or clustering analysis.

Gene Expression Analysis Service

LC Sciences now offers gene expression analysis by Affymetrix GeneChip® through our partnership with SeqWright DNA Technology Services, an Affymetrix-authorized service provider. This service is GLP-compliant for handling patient samples. We offer 5 day turnaround on most projects and standard analyses of expression microarray data includes: computation of a global normalized expression metric using Robust Multiarray Average (RMA) of the hybridization intensity data from all chips in the experimental set, analysis of the pattern of expressed and non-expressed transcripts with screening of genes for later analyses, parametric (t-test) or nonparametric (Mann-Whitney U-test) for significant differences in patterns of expression between groups (if applicable), and within-gene permutation testing for empirical significance with and without randomization (if applicable).

OligoMix® Genomics Products

LC Sciences provides a unique new tool, OligoMix® enabling low cost, multiplex custom oligonucleotides for various applications serving diverse needs in genomics, proteomics, protein/antibody engineering, synthetic biology, drug discovery, and emerging new fields of science such as next-generation sequencing. OligoMix® is made from an innovative method of synthesis and costs our customers 20× less per base than conventional synthesis.  OligoMix® may contain any customer defined sequences (up to 100 nts in length), OH, phosphate, or other types of 5’ terminal groups, and OH or phosphate 3’ terminal groups.  Send us your sequences and in one-two weeks we deliver the OligoMix® in pmol quantities ready for your applications such as hybridization, amplification, primer extension, and ligation.  We offer additional services for OligoMix®: bioinformatics for sequence design, purification, sequence verification, preparation in duplex forms and restriction fragments, increasing product amount to nmol or more quantities, cloning and sequencing, and transcription into RNA OligoMix® or individual RNA sequences.

Specialty Genomics Microarrays

The µParaflo® technology provides the flexibility of synthesizing microarrays containing probes with modifications such as, 5’-amino linker, phosphate, biotin, and various methylation or other types of modifications. Incorporation of modifications greatly increases the number of applications for these microarrays.  Two-four weeks after receiving your sample(s), we send you the analyzed data, representative and original images of the array, and raw data. We offer additional services for in-depth binding data analysis and curve analysis of quantitative measurements.
