LC Sciences provides a genome-wide microRNA (miRNA) expression profiling service using µParaflo® technology and proprietary probe design, which enable highly sensitive and specific direct detection of miRNAs. We have standard arrays for mature miRNA of all species available in the latest version of the miRBase database (Release 18). Our service is comprehensive and includes sample preparation of your total RNA sample, single or dual color labeling, hybridization, image data processing and in-depth data analysis. Two-three weeks after receiving your total RNA samples, we send you the analyzed data, representative and original images of the array, and raw data. We offer additional products and services including arrays containing miRNA*, walk/tiling arrays, custom arrays (first 100 probes free of charge), and in-depth analysis for multiple data sets. The in-depth data analysis may include multi-array normalization, t-test, ANOVA, False Discovery Rate calculator, and/or clustering analysis.

miRBase Version 18 Content Now Available!

miRBase Version 18November 3rd , 2011 – The miRBase sequence database was just updated to version 18. Release 18 of the database contains 18226 entries representing hairpin precursor miRNAs, expressing 21643 mature miRNA products, in 168 species. As compared to miRBase version 17 a total of 1488 new hairpin sequences and 1929 novel mature products have been added.

This probe content is immediately available on all of our standard or custom microRNA microarrays.

Microfluidics Microarray Platform

Optimized RNA Hybridization Probes

LC Sciences’ Optimized RNA Hybridization Probes are designed with normalized Tms to ensure uniform hybridization affinity to their microRNA targets under high stringency hybridization conditions enhancing both the sensitivity and specificity of the probes.

The Most Current Content

LC Sciences offers the only microRNA microarray currently available with version 18 probe content.  Not 90% or 95% coverage, but 100% of experimentally verified microRNA sequences are represented on all of our arrays.

Complete Content Flexibility

All of LC Sciences’ microarrays are made to order and synthesized to each customer’s particular specifications.  Validate predictions, add custom controls, or create totally custom tiling arrays for discovery of novel small-RNAs.  The choice is up to you!
